Congress members pen letter asking gaming corporations how they’re combating extremism

A number of members of Congress have penned a letter to ask prime sport firms how they’re addressing extremism.

As reported by Axios, the inquiry might be despatched to gaming corporations corresponding to Activision Blizzard, Digital Arts, and Sony.


The legislators’ letter has been attributed to the Anti-Defamation League’s new Hate and Harassment in On-line Gaming Report, which was launched final week.


The survey discovered that publicity to white supremacist ideologies and identity-based harassment is growing in on-line video games.


Axios says the Congress inquiry will request particulars corresponding to what techniques are in place to battle extremism and information on disciplinary actions taken in opposition to gamers for violations.
