Chiyomaru Shikura, MAGES’ chairman and consultant director, can be stepping down from the position and transitioning to an govt producer place.
As reported and translated by GamerBraves, per Gamebiz, the change comes months after MAGES reported a lack of $4.7 million.
In Shikura’s announcement on Twitter, he didn’t attribute the transition to the corporate’s monetary efficiency.
“…Because of the expiration of my time period of workplace, I’ve determined to depart my place as Chairman and Consultant Director of MAGES…” he defined.
Shikura added, “I want to proceed my life as a creator for slightly longer. With the sensation of going again to the beginnings of the nostalgic AD period, we are going to proceed to debate with MAGES. In a brand new relationship and new place, with acquainted employees members, to construct a system to launch new works once more.”
MAGES has developed visible novel titles akin to Chaos;Head, Nameless;Code, and Steins;Gate.
In 2020, Colopl acquired the Japanese sport studio for $15 million.
