Simply two episodes in, and The Final of Us’ TV present is already coming again for extra.
HBO introduced the season two renewal for its live-action adaptation of Naughty Canine’s stealth zombie sport. The present’s premiere on January 25 reportedly had practically 5 million viewers, making it the community’s second biggest premiere since 2010.
Not shocking to listen to, significantly since HBO has spent weeks advertising the present. And Naughty Canine’s discovered one other option to profit from the collection’ success, as gross sales of The Final of Us Half I for PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4 remaster each acquired enormous gross sales spikes after the primary episode.
“I’m humbled, honored, and albeit overwhelmed that so many individuals have tuned in and linked with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey,” wrote Naughty Canine co-president (and collection’ co-showrunner) Neil Druckmann in a press launch.
“Now we’ve absolutely the pleasure of with the ability to do it once more with season two! On behalf of everybody at Naughty Canine and PlayStation, thanks!”
Fellow co-showrunner Craig Mazin stated, “The viewers has given us the possibility to proceed, and as a fan of the characters and world Neil and Naughty Canine created, I couldn’t be extra able to dive again in.”
To additional mark the event, HBO has made the primary episode of The Last of Us free for everybody to look at.
